The Marquis family’s reconstructed classicism castle stands in the middle of a park full of ancient trees, 30 km from Košice, hiding at the head of the semicircular Mogyorós brook valley in the north-eastern part of Cserehát mountain in Northern Hungary. The mansion has been opened as a small boutique hotel to those longing for undisturbed rest, clean air and peaceful nature.

The shaping of the building’s interior recalls the atmosphere of the 19th century. Period furnishing, including several valuable, one-and-a-half-century-old pieces of Biedermeier furniture evoke the age of Marquis János Pallavicini, who had a splendid career in diplomacy. It is a specific feature of the hotel that its rooms and other community areas are lit not by mass produced items but 100-120 year-old lamps peculiar in terms of industrial history and the history of styles renewed by the owner, thus the mansion has the function of a “Iamp museum”, as well.

The castle hotel is located just 2 hours on highway and main road from Budapest Airport (HUNGARY) and also very close to the famous Tokaj Wine Region (UNESCO World Heritage of Hungary) and the estate is only 30 km far from the Kosice International Airport (SLOVAKIA) (1-2 daily flights from London, Vienna, Prague, Bratislava etc.)

The lounge, the restaurant, the kitchen, the billiard-room and the so called “turkish bath” with its bubble spa, scented steam room and infra sauna can be found on the ground-floor, while seven apartments / rooms and the assembly hall with the latest conference-equipment are located on the first-floor. In the mansard of the building two further rooms and two suites can be brought on.
In the rooms, suites and public halls wall-heating ensures the pleasant temperature.
In the 3.5-hectare area park of the ancient trees a pond, a play-ground for children and also resting-places provide the visitors with recreation, moreover, an outdoor pool heated by sun-energy can be found next to the castle.
Apart from the castle park, a territory of considerable size, containing farm and stable–buildings, is ready for further improvements.
Sport facilities: table tennis, air gun shooting, archery, badminton, bicycle, petanque, darts, etc.
Several nearby sights invite our guests to go on an outing and get acquainted with the memories of the Hungarian history.
The castle is a very good place for horse-riding centre with its 620 sqm stable or for hunter tourism. There are 3 hunting grounds at the castle and several others within 30-40 km around the estate.The castle of its size is suitable for a person (family) or company, on the other hand after a relatively small investment can be run as a four-star castle hotel with its well introduced name with bigger room number and capacity (7 new rooms: 5 apartments and 2 standard are ready to build up in a short time).
The price of the property includes not only the castle, land , stable, country house, also the biedermeier furniture, old paintings and chandeliers, kitchen wares, machines and everything which need for running a hotel.
